Rating: 5/5 Stars

Synopsis from Goodreads: Margaret Jacobsen has a bright future ahead of her: a fiancé she adores, her dream job, and the promise of a picture-perfect life just around the corner. Then, suddenly, on what should have been one of the happiest days of her life, everything she worked for is taken away in one tumultuous moment. In the hospital and forced to face the possibility that nothing will ever be the same again, Margaret must figure out how to move forward on her own terms while facing long-held family secrets, devastating heartbreak, and the idea that love might find her in the last place she would ever expect.

My Review: How to Walk Away is a phenomenal book about finding light and hope in the darkest of circumstances. It’s about finding a way through the darkness to the brightness on the other side. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. I was expecting to feel sad and disheartened but I found myself feeling an entire range of emotions. I cried, I laughed, I was angry and I felt inspired. There is something so beautiful about this story about a woman who loses pretty much everything and still manages to make a life for herself. This book was one that I needed but I didn’t know I needed it. I highly recommend adding this book to your summer reading list!
